My Online Chemistry Course Review
My Online Chemistry Course ReviewIn 2020, I had the opportunity to attend an online science class at www.chemistrycom. I chose to attend this course because of the following reasons:Since most of the courses in the US are available only online, I believed that the lessons would be a lot more interesting and informative if I studied with people all over the world rather than just in the United States. By attending a course in an Internet university, I had the chance to communicate with people from all over the world, some of whom I haven't even met yet.The environment I found at the website made me feel more relaxed since I could experience various courses from different locations. Since there was no learning material that I had to refer to, I could just check out what I wanted to learn and go straight to it whenever I wanted. The Internet also facilitated research because I was able to read online articles and other course materials in the same way as I would a book.I learned a lot f rom my first online chemistry course, but I had some reservations about the quality of the materials I was taught. After I finished my online course, I decided to speak with some chemistry professors to get some feedback. The professors I spoke with praised the course material that I had studied, but they were not too enthusiastic about the website. They told me that there were a lot of things about the website that I was missing, especially how important it is to compare different types of material to find the one that was best suited for me.This experience made me realize that there is a big difference between Chemistry courses on the Internet and those that are taught in a classroom. In order to be able to compare different materials and tools, it is important to have a good source for comparing. I'm not just talking about web sites such as Chemistrycom, but online resources such as books and journals that I had toread and research on my own.Although Chemistrycom.com has some good resources, I still need to do some research on websites that offer online courses. It will take some time to find the best materials for my personal needs, but I believe that it will be worth it. Chemistry is one of the most popular subjects in the world and you need to learn it well if you want to make a career in chemistry.

Why A General Education - Varsity Tutors Blog
Why A General Education - Varsity Tutors Blog Every college student is forced or encouraged to take a bunch of general education classes that are unrelated to his/her major. There are administrators on both side of the argument, lobbying for their case, according to an article in the Washington Post. One group, the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, has been compiling research to argue for its case. It found that many colleges require three or fewer of the basic subjects, such as math, science, foreign language, composition, the fundaments of U.S. history, economics, literature, composition, etc. The group analyzed 1,007 colleges and found that three fifths of those schools do not require seven of the basic subjects. This was itsthird annual report, titled What Will They Learn? The group is simply trying to prove that colleges do not require students to learn essential subjects, and thus they graduate lacking a broad education. It argues that colleges are becoming too lax and letting students study whatever they want. They are no longer forcing students to learn general education classes instead they are giving students too much freedom in selecting a curriculum. According to this group, colleges only guide students through distribution requirements, in which students can select from a certain number of courses in each of the several broad areas of education. However, most students always take the easiest, lowest-level classes. Then there are administrators who do not believe in a broad general education system, and many of them have already stated that this system is flawed; however, few have made strides to improve it. They argue that the whole system of general education is tainted by politics. Department heads (a colleges head of the English Department) never want their classes to be optional. They all want to make the required list. Colleges have to make sure their department heads are happy; so every department becomes required for every major. This simply makes college less specialized to whats important for a students future career and longer/more expensive. Generally speaking, most colleges are leaning toward a more specialized education either because its more beneficial to a students career plans or because its what the student wants. The American Council of Trustees and Alumnis study found that only 5 percent of colleges surveyed required economics as a field as study, about 20 percent required U.S. government or history and 15 percent required intermediate-level foreign language. The report also found that only about 19 schools required six or more of the seven subjects. Three of which are military academies.
Increase Teacher Pay To Improve Academics
Increase Teacher Pay To Improve Academics Dave Eggers and Ninive Clements Calegari of the New York Times say teachers are underpaid and blamed entirely way too much for the underachieving American education system. In their argument, Eggers and Clements Calegari compared teachers to military professionals. We dont say, Its these lazy soldiers and their bloated benefits plans! Thats why we havent done better in Afghanistan! No, if the results arent there, we blame the planners. We blame the generals, the secretary of defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, writes Eggers and Clements Calegari. So why shouldnt we treat teachers just the same? Why is it teachers fault if their students underachieve because the system is flawed or because their parents arent encouraging them to study harder or do their homework? When students underachieve, not only do we blame the teachers, but we also reduce their already-small pay, fire a lot of them away and make the others scared for their jobs, writes Eggers and Clements Calegari. Compare that to soldiers. When military operations get tough, we rally support for the troops, we give them better tools, weapons, protection and training, and then we offer large incentives to create more interest among prospects. The writers argue that right now is a turning point in the American education system as many current teachers begin to retire. America now has a golden opportunity to create more interest in the profession and recruit/train better teachers. Currently, teachers earn 14% less than professionals in other occupations that require similar levels of education, and their salaries have been decreasing for the past 30 years, inflation adjusted. The average starting salary for teachers is $39,000, and the average ending salary (after 25 years in the profession) is $67,000. These figures make raising a family on one income nearly impossible and prices teachers out of home ownership in 32 metropolitan areas. These low salaries force 62% of teachers to work out-of-the-classroom to make ends meet. Many teachers take up common jobs as waitresses, construction workers or retail cashiers to supplement their low incomes, just to provide for their families. Why would a talented and intelligent teacher continue on in this career? Not many good reasons, state Eggers and Clements Calegari. Thats exactly why most of the good teachers have left the field. They leave because of the tireless, stressful work, low-pay and the students who never truly appreciate their help. Thats not even to mention the occasional angry phone call from a parent. But the problems are fixable, according to the writers. They looked at teaching professions in Finland, Singapore and South Korea, the three countries that perform best on standardized tests. In these countries, the government recruits top graduates into the profession, pays for their training (in Finland and Singapore) and pays teachers more (250% more in South Korea). The writers state that America could follow these countries practices and produce better teachers to fix the education system. Sixty-eight percent of 900 top-tier American college students said they would consider teaching careers if salaries started at $65,000 and rose to a minimum of $150,000.

Transferable Skills How Part-Time Experience Lands The Career
Transferable Skills How Part-Time Experience Lands The Career Image by genie_solution via Flickr. Transferable skills may, in fact, be even more important than specialized skills in some fields. A case study conducted by Petia Petrova and Dorota Ujma, University of Luton, took a survey amongst undergraduate students studying tourism, asking them which skills they perceived as essential to landing a career in the tourism industry. The result? The majority of respondents (68%) stated that their specialized knowledge of the tourism industry would prove advantageous to them in securing employment in the industry yet such knowledge is regarded by tourism and hospitality employers as being much less important in comparison to other skills (Baum 1995; Li and Kivela 1998; Petrova and Mason 2005b). The study goes on to state that the majority of skills at the top of their most-wanted list included those that fall into the general intellect categorynamely effective communication and problem-solving skills. This shows that employers look for a wide range of transferable skills as a base for potential employees, before they even consider the technical details. So how can you showcase these skills? Identify Your Skill Set The first step to using transferable skills is to identify them. Nothing may come to mind at first, but Dawn Clare, a career and life coach, said in an article, to evaluate your whole life, not just professional experiences. This requires you to look not only at previous employments, but also at any activities where you contributed or held some type of responsibility. This can even include certain projects you participated in at your university, or even sports you played. Going back to the server example, we can see that previously-deemed simple tasks can be used as valuable skills. The task of explaining the menu to the customer becomes an interpersonal communication skill and the additional suggested menu options become sales experience. In the same sense, organizing your churchs potluck dinner gives you leadership, inventory and management skills. Show Transferable Skills On Your Resume Jamie Yasko-Mangum, a self-image and training consultant and owner of Successful Style Image Inc., stated on Career Builder, to organize your resume by skill area or accomplishments rather than chronologically or functionally. Categorize all applicable skills, highlights and experiences and group them in categories such as professional highlights, skills summary and professional experience and place them at the top of your resume, he said. This type of organization puts your experiences first and shows how they apply to the current position, instead of merely listing your previous education or background, which may not immediately provide you with the skills for the job the employer is looking for. Highlight Achievements When the time for the interview dawns, be sure to highlight achievements you have made in any project, job or assignment through the use of these skills. For example, show what you can bring to the company by highlighting an instance where you brought an original idea or concept to a group, or how you solved a problem. Dont be afraid to reference projects you performed in school if you feel youre running short on relevant experience, either. For specialized guidance on how you can implement these transferable skills, visit Cambridge Universitys Key Transferable Skills webpage. Transferable skills can be found virtually anywhere you look regarding your past experiences; its simply a matter of looking behind the action youre performing and asking yourself what skill is necessary for you to perform it. Before long, youll have a list of skills to rival any robot. Run your own business, get control of your future, make an impact on your life. How Much Does a Chegg Tutor Makes?
How Much Does a Chegg Tutor Makes? This article will give you a more detailed look at the salary for a Chegg Tutor. Most companies that hire tutors will need them to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. In order to get hired, they will require that the tutor has been taking online courses in web development for at least two years.Tutors work with individuals that need to learn new skills and know new things. They are also usually looking for someone that is friendly and can share their knowledge with others. When they hire a tutor, they often require that the tutor have certifications such as an Associate's Degree. An Associate's Degree is the most common one that most people will find.A good place to look for a job is to find a company or website that is willing to advertise jobs that are available in the field of web development. The more jobs that you post, the better your chances are of being contacted. You may be surprised at what happens when you actually contact the company.Tut ors should be courteous and provide the customer service that a company needs to have. Also, they should be good at what they do because of all the online work that they will be doing. One thing that you should be able to figure out from looking into how much does a Chegg Tutor make is that the cost is based on the amount of money that a company wants to spend. The cost will vary depending on the location where the company is located. If you live in North Carolina, a tutor that lives in the area will probably pay more than one that lives in Washington, D.C. This is because of the cost of living in different areas.Tutors who travel between schools and companies are typically paid more than those who are hired for less than five hours. This is because tutors traveling can spend a lot of time getting to and from schools to visit clients. That means they may work fewer hours than someone who works from home. However, if you can travel to Chegg and teach the company, you may be able to mak e up for the loss in pay. If you go back to college to get a higher level of education, you may find that you make more money. However, if you plan on working at home and working as a tutor for other companies, you can try to find a combination of both.

Chemistry Acid Definition for Everyday Activities
Chemistry Acid Definition for Everyday ActivitiesThe Chemistry Acid Definition has many practical applications in daily life. In the real world of science, objects are made of two different types of material: matter and energy. The former is simply the material that a substance is made of, while the latter is the force that pushes or pulls the object. The regular use of tools can dramatically change the composition of materials and its structure. When tools are abused, they get damaged and the composition of materials is lost. Some time when applying tools, dust can be formed on them. Dust of regular use can affect the structural quality of surfaces and materials. In the same way, improper use of tools can also be detrimental to the quality of materials. When applying tools and even trying to clean up on the surface of them, dust can block the instrument from functioning properly. Even if you don't clean your tools, dust particles can have a negative effect on the substance. This is pa rticularly true when applied over a substance that is highly perishable like wax. Some of the most common everyday chemicals include liquid, solid, powder, granular and dissolved substances. Each of these substances is composed of two types of materials: matter and energy. To prepare liquids for example, there are different types of liquids such as gas, liquid water, steam, liquid crystals, liquid glass, etc. But in order to take an appropriate handling, they have to be decomposed or separated from the matter and then transformed into a new liquid. This is how the best methods of preparation are done.In the same way, solid substances may be decomposed into liquids such as water, gas, solids, rocks, sand, gravel, etc. For example, crushing and pulverizing of a solid substance may be done by using a mechanical press or a machine. The particles of the material are gathered and pulverized until it isturned into a solid, while the matter is dissolved in a solvent. The process of handling can also be done by using rotary or electric cutting tools and, using molecular sieves, or by using a combination of rotary and electromechanical cutting tools. When a liquid is decomposed, the particles of the material are dispersed and then broken down by light and heat into liquid particles. The process of liquid liquidation is generally carried out by vapor extraction or steam separation. The process of liquid liquidation by use of vapor extraction includes the use of a vapor extractor, distillers and an extractor pump. The process of the liquid liquidation by use of steam separation includes the use of steam separators, catalytic steam separation and pressure condensers. In addition, the liquid has to be heated by being put under pressure and then subjected to diffusion and then solidifying by evaporating it.As you can see, the Chemistry Acid Definition has many practical applications in everyday life. Take time to study these everyday applications and apply the information to y our daily activities and take care of your daily health and care.
